German-born Ghanaian forward Jamie Leweling has expressed his enthusiasm after making his move to VfB Stuttgart permanent.
Leweling signed a contract extending his stay at the club until June 2028, following an impressive loan spell. Initially joining Stuttgart on loan from Union Berlin before the 2023/24 season, Leweling delivered an outstanding performance throughout the campaign.
The 23-year-old forward made 38 competitive appearances for Stuttgart, contributing 10 goals. In the Bundesliga, he played in all 34 matches, scoring four goals and providing six assists, helping Stuttgart secure a second-place finish.
“I feel really comfortable at VfB. The coaching staff, the team, and the fans welcomed me very well. I’m glad that I’ll continue here in the future,” Leweling said.
Reflecting on the season, he added, “It was a bit difficult for me at the beginning, but I was able to improve over the course of the season and am on the right track. This season has been incredible.”
With Stuttgart’s second-place finish in the Bundesliga, Leweling will feature in the UEFA Champions League next season.
