Godson Kyeremeh, the Ghanaian forward, has expressed his disappointment with his goal-scoring record during his time at French lower-tier side , Stade Malherbe Caen last season.
The 23-year-old, who was on loan to Annecy for a season and a half, made a successful return to Caen, where he scored six goals and provided three assists.
As a regular player for Caen in Ligue 2, Kyeremeh made 38 appearances, including 21 starts, in the just-ended season.
Despite his overall satisfaction, he admitted that he wasn’t entirely pleased with his goal-scoring tally at the club and has set higher goals for himself in the upcoming season.
“I’m fairly content. I had set a target for the number of games I wanted to play in my first season in Ligue 2,” Kyeremeh stated.
“I managed to achieve that goal. However, I’m a bit disappointed because I had a specific number of goals in mind that I couldn’t reach. But I remind myself that it was my first season, and overall, it wasn’t too bad,” he added.
Kyeremeh’s current contract with Caen is set to expire in the summer of 2025.
