Ghanaian international Alidu Seidu has praised Lens following the 2-1 win over his side Clermont Foot in the French Ligue 1 over the weekend.
Alidu maintains that it was sad his team lost but he was quick to praise Lens who he admits played well.
“There are regrets, we came to win this match. We started well, we scored a goal. But Lens did not panic, they played well. Kudos to them. If we played too low in the second half, I think it was Lens that pushed us to play lower because they forced a lot. We tried to stay together, but it didn’t work out well.” Alidu stated.
The versatile defender has been among Clermont Foot best players this season and he is expected to be named on Ghana’s final 26-man squad for the World Cup on Monday, November 14.
