Ghanaian defender Henry Oware’s expiring contract has been renewed by Belgian club Lommel SK until mid-2028.
The 21-year-old Ghanaian defender has fought his way into the starting lineup this season, and with this extension, the club underlines its confidence in his continued development.

Henry Oware has extended his contract with Lommel SK. The 21-year-old Ghanaian joined in the winter of 2024 from ESTAC Troyes, which had signed him a year earlier from WAFA SC in his home country. Oware’s previous contract was set to expire but has now been extended by two years, keeping him at the club until at least 2028. The club has also secured an option for an additional year.
“I feel very much at home at this club and I’m therefore very happy to extend my contract,” said Henry Oware in response to his renewal. “In one and a half years, I have already learned and played a lot here. I look forward to making even more minutes and developing myself together with the team!”
Sporting Director Jeffrey van As explained the decision: “Henry is a talented central defender who has fought his way into the starting lineup this season. Despite his young age, he has already gained a lot of experience at our club. We want to continue developing him in the coming years and look to the future with great confidence and positivity together with him at Lommel SK.”
