Defender Jeremy Frimpong has signed a new contract with German Bundesliga side Bayer O4 Leverkusen.
The Netherlands-born with Ghanaian descent has signed a 5-year contract extension which will see him at the Bay Arena till June 2028.
Having joined Leverkusen in 2021 from Scottish side Celtic, Frimpong is happy to have committed 5 more years at the Bay Arena.
“Jeremie Frimpong has not just developed into an extremely popular figure in our squad over the past few years,” said Simon Rolfes, Bayer Leverkusen’s sporting managing director.
“At the moment, he is one of the best players in the Bundesliga in his position as an attacking right-back.”
“The contract extension underlines Jeremie’s importance to our Werkself. It was a no brainer for me,” he said.
Jeremy Frimpong is still eligible to play for the Black Stars of Ghana as he is yet to play an international game for the Dutch senior team.
