Ghanaian defender Joseph Aidoo strikes in Celta Vigo’s away win at Betis

Ghana’s Black Stars defender, Joseph Aidoo was on target for Celta Vigo in the Spanish La Liga on Saturday night away at Real Betis.

The former Inter Allies player was the last goal scorer for his team as they beat Real Betis 4-3 in the Spanish top-flight to move out of the relegation zone.

Both teams scored twice in the first half after with Celta Scoring first before the home team equalized and took the lead halfway through the opening 45 minutes of the match.

But before the break, Gabriel Veiga restored parity for the away team to make sure they returned to the dressing room on level pegging.

Veiga scored again 11 minutes after the break to turn the game on its head aga to put the visitors 3-2 up.

Twenty minutes away from the full time whistle, Ghana’s Aidoo rose highest in the box to score the fourth goal for the away team with a very powerful header.

Nabil Fekir scored a spot kick inside 84 minutes for the host but couldn’t draw level with Aidoo and his team walking away with all three points.

The 27-year-old Ghanaian defender has two goals in 20 games in the 2022-23 Spanish La Liga season.
