Ghanaian international defender, Kinsgley Schindler was in full action as he helped his side defeat Tokat 3-0 in the Turkish Cup to progress to the 1/16th stage of the tournament.
Kinsgsley Schindler was unplayable in the middle of the pitch as he paired effectively with Turkish Midfielder Muhammd Gumuskaya and also helped the team keep a clean sheet in the 1/32 stage of the competition.
His solid performance is bound to earn him a starting role in Samsunspor next weekend’s clash against Kasimpa. The German born of Ghanaian descent scored for his club in week 11 of the Turkish Superlig when they played Hatayspor. Schindler last game for the Blacks Stars came in a double header friendly against USA and Mexico respectively in October.
The ex-Hoffenheim player has not enjoyed enough playing time since his switch to Turkish side Samsunpor from FC Koln as a free agent. With just few weeks to the African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, the versatile midfielder is expected to be named in Chris Hughton’s Squad for the tournament.
