Ghanaian international Mohammed Salisu has expressed his enthusiasm following AS Monaco’s impressive 3-0 victory over Barcelona in a preseason friendly on Monday.
The Black Stars defender played the entire match and contributed to keeping a clean sheet at Stade Louis II. Monaco’s defense held firm throughout the first half, with neither team managing to score. After the break, Monaco came alive, netting three goals to secure the win.
Salisu was a key figure in defense as Monaco secured a resounding win over Barcelona. The goals came from Lamina Camara, Breel Embolo, and Christian Mawissa, culminating in a convincing 3-0 triumph for the French team.
“A good way to end the preseason. Well done lads,” Salisu shared on Instagram.
Having delivered strong performances during the preseason, Salisu will be aiming for a successful season ahead. Monaco’s next challenge will be their Ligue 1 opener against Saint Etienne on Saturday, August 17, 2024.
