Ghana defender Mohammed Salisu has been named by English legend Alan Shearer in his EPL team of the week.

The 22-year-old guardsman was a pillar at the back as Southampton defeated Norwich 2-0 over the weekend.

Shearer was full of praise for Salisu as he lauded his fantastic performance in the heart of defence.

“Rock-solid again for Southampton, the centre-back didn’t give the Norwich attack a look-in.” Shearer stated on Premier League show.

Salisu has been among the best defenders in the Premier League so far this season and has already been tipped for greatness.
