Ghanaian international Mohammed Salisu is on track to make his debut for AS Monaco within the next two to three weeks, even though he has resumed group training.
Salisu rejoined his teammates in training this week after a lengthy recovery from an injury that had sidelined him for several months.
The Black Stars defender had been out of action since March 2023, missing the latter part of the previous season while he was with Southampton. Despite his injury setback, Salisu secured a transfer to Monaco during the summer transfer window but has yet to feature for the club.
According to General Director Thiago Scuro, Mohammed Salisu is expected to be fully fit and ready for action in about two to three weeks. Scuro mentioned, “We hope to see him in the group within the next two or three weeks to start getting some playing time,” as he shared this update with RMC Sport.
As a result of this timeline, Salisu is set to miss Ghana’s opening matches in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Madagascar and Comoros this month.
