Nana Antwi, a 24-year-old Ghanaian right-back, has officially joined FC Hermannstadt on loan from FCSB until the end of the season.
In an electrifying announcement video shared by the club, Antwi confidently declared, “Don’t be afraid! Nana is here,” signaling his eagerness to make a significant impact at his new club.
FC Hermannstadt, founded in 2015 and based in Sibiu, has quickly become a force in Romanian football, earning promotion to Liga I in just three years. Known for their passionate fanbase and solid performances, the club has established itself as a rising power in Romanian football.
Despite showing early promise at FCSB, where Antwi featured in six matches across the Super League, UEFA Champions League preliminaries, and the Romanian Supercup, he struggled to fully convince the club’s management. As a result, he was left out of the UEFA and Super League squads, leading to his loan move to Hermannstadt.
Antwi’s career path includes stints at Young Wise FC, Lori Wanadzor, Lille B, and F.C. Urartu, bringing a wealth of experience to his new team. His addition to FC Hermannstadt is expected to bolster the club’s defensive lineup as they continue their quest for success in the Romanian top flight.
