Phil Ofosu-Ayeh was one of the standout players in Halmstads BK’s commanding 4-0 win over GAIS on Saturday. The Ghanaian defender not only contributed defensively but also found the back of the net, helping his team secure a vital victory.
Halmstads BK took an early lead thanks to Villiam Granath’s goal in the first minute. Amir Al Ammari doubled the lead in the 34th minute with a powerful shot from outside the box.
Ofosu-Ayeh made his mark in the second half, scoring the team’s third goal in the 72nd minute with a close-range shot, following a quick break and an assist from fellow Ghanaian, Naeem Mohammed. This goal was Ofosu-Ayeh’s second of the season, highlighting his offensive contributions.
The game was further sealed by Mohammed, who converted a penalty in the 96th minute to complete the 4-0 rout. Ofosu-Ayeh’s performance added to his solid record of two goals in 12 games this season, showing his value to the team.
Thomas Boakye, another Ghanaian defender, also played a part by coming on as a substitute in the 80th minute, ensuring a strong defensive finish for Halmstads BK.
