The talented centre-back has made 28 English Premier League appearances for Southampton this season and boasts of 68 interceptions which is the highest in the competition this season.

Following Salisu is Wolverhampton Wanderers Moroccan defender Romain Saiss who has also made 56 interceptions in 28 games.

The Ghanaian guardsman has been very efficient at the back for the Saints this campaign with his game against Manchester City being one of his best.
Salisu is yet to feature for the Black Stars of Ghana as he has already rejected five call ups.
