Ghanaian defender Tariq Lamptey is attracting considerable interest from various clubs as the summer transfer window draws closer to its conclusion.

The 23-year-old right-back, who signed with Brighton and Hove Albion from Chelsea in 2020, is now entering the final year of his contract with the club.

Lamptey’s time at Brighton has been marred by a series of injuries that have disrupted his ability to maintain consistent fitness throughout each season.

Despite these challenges, he has made a notable contribution on the field, amassing 102 appearances for the Seagulls, scoring two goals, and providing nine assists.

According to Sky Sports, several clubs from England and across Europe, particularly in France and Germany, are showing interest in acquiring Lamptey. This interest underscores his potential, even with his history of injuries.

Lamptey was notably absent from Brighton’s opening Premier League match against Everton due to an injury, raising additional concerns about his fitness as a transfer looms.
