Ghanaian rising star Augustine Boakye has earned a spot in Sofascore’s Austrian Bundesliga Team of the Week following a stellar performance for Wolfsberger AC.
Boakye, a former WAFA midfielder, showcased his devastating form in their triumph over Austria Lustenau.
Starting the game, the 23-year-old midfielder made a significant impact, securing his place on the scoresheet as Wolfsberger claimed a 3-2 away victory in the 14th clash at the Planet Pure Stadion.
Boakye wasted no time, breaking the deadlock just thirteen minutes into the game. The hosts held the advantage as they entered halftime. Austria international Thierno Ballo extended the lead with a penalty in the 64th minute, but Namory Cisse pulled one back for the hosts in the 69th minute.
