Ghanaian duo Jennifer Cudjoe and Princess Marfo have made history by becoming the first players to win the Danish women’s league title with FC Nordsjaelland.
The team secured the top spot after a thrilling 1-1 draw against title contenders IF Brondby in the final round of matches.
Cudjoe and Marfo played a significant role in Nordsjaelland’s success, contributing to the team’s achievements despite their respective departures midway through the campaign.
Marfo transferred to Bay FC in the National Women’s Soccer League, while Cudjoe has been inactive for Nordsjaelland since the first half of the season concluded.
Cudjoe, who plays for Ghana’s women’s national team, signed a one-year contract with Nordsjaelland at the beginning of the 2023/24 season and is expected to leave Denmark after the current campaign.
With their league triumph, FC Nordsjaelland have secured a spot in the upcoming UEFA Women’s Champions League, marking a significant achievement for the club and its players.
