Pafos FC has made a significant addition to its squad with the signing of Dutch defender Derrick Luckassen, a player of Ghanaian descent.
The 29-year-old defender has joined the Cypriot outfit and will wear the number 23 jersey, according to an official statement from the club on Sunday, July 21.

Luckassen, who has a wealth of experience in European football, began his career at AZ Alkmaar’s academy and eventually made his way to the first team in the 2014/2015 season. He became a key player for the team, making 97 appearances, including several appearances in European competitions.
After leaving AZ Alkmaar, Luckassen played for PSV Eindhoven in Holland before moving abroad to feature for Hertha BSC, RSC Anderlecht, Kasimpasa, and Karagumruk. His latest move to Pafos FC marks a new chapter in his career, where he will be expected to play a crucial role for the side.
