League Two side Newport County have completed the signing of Michael Adu-Poku on a season-long loan from Watford.
The 20-year-old Ghanaian-English attacker, who is capable of playing across the front line, will spend the 2026/27 season with Newport as he looks to gain valuable senior experience and continue his development.
Adu-Poku joined Watford’s academy at the age of 13 and has progressed steadily through the club’s youth ranks. He made his senior debut for the Hornets in the FA Cup against Reading in January 2023, showcasing his potential on the big stage.
The loan move offers the versatile forward an opportunity to secure regular first-team football, while Newport County will hope his pace, creativity and attacking versatility strengthen their squad for the new campaign.
For Adu-Poku, the switch marks another important milestone as he continues his journey towards establishing himself in English football.
