Ghanaian forward Benjamin Tetteh delivered a standout performance on Sunday evening, scoring as Maribor secured a commanding 4-0 victory over Nafta in the Slovenian top-flight league. The Round 18 encounter, held at Ljudski vrt, saw Maribor dominate from start to finish.
The match took a decisive turn in the 20th minute when Nafta’s Zan Mauricio was shown a straight red card, leaving the visitors a man down. Maribor wasted no time capitalizing on the advantage, with Marko Bozic firing them ahead just five minutes later. His precise strike ensured the hosts went into the halftime break with a 1-0 lead.
After the interval, Maribor maintained their dominance, controlling possession and dictating the game’s pace. Benjamin Tetteh doubled Maribor’s lead in the 53rd minute with a well-taken goal, showcasing his clinical finishing ability.
