Ghanaian international Francis Amuzu came off the bench to score the decisive goal for RSC Anderlecht in their 1-0 victory over Dinamo Minsk on Thursday night, securing their place in the Europa League group stages.
Amuzu was included in the matchday squad but started the game on the bench. In the second leg of the playoff round against Dinamo Minsk, with a spot in the Europa League group stages on the line, Amuzu was substituted into the game in the 69th minute, replacing Nilson Angulo.
His impact was immediate, as he found the back of the net in the 83rd minute to give Anderlecht the only goal of the match. The victory secured a 2-0 aggregate win for Anderlecht over Dinamo Minsk, ensuring their progression to the group stages.
