Ghana forward Ibrahim Mustapha faced an unfortunate setback as his team, LASK Linz, endured a substantial 4-0 loss to Liverpool in the Europa League on Thursday night.
The 24-year-old, introduced as a substitute in the 60th minute, had to be replaced just 15 minutes later due to an undisclosed injury.
Mustapha came on with LASK Linz already trailing 3-0 to Liverpool at Anfield.
Senegalese international Moussa Kone took his place in the 74th minute. The severity of Mustapha’s injury remains unknown, and updates from the club are anticipated in the coming hours.
