Ghanaian forward Jamie Leweling is in ecstacy after his move to VfB Stuttgart materialized ahead of the upcoming Germany Bundesliga campaign.
He joined the club on a season long loan deal on Thursday, July 13, 2023 from UEFA Champions League team Union Berlin after a fairly successful season in Berlin.
Jamie Leweling: “It’s nice that the move to VfB worked out. I already know a few players from the squad, for example I played with Genki Haraguchi at Union Berlin and Josha Vagnoman and Roberto Massimo at the U21s”.
“I’m really looking forward to the new season and want to help the team have a good season”, he told the press of the club in his first interview after completing his move.
The German-born Ghanaian forward has made 49 Bundesliga appearances scoring six goals with three assists to his name.
He also played 46 games in the Bundesliga 2 netting four goals, three assists in his professional career so far. The 22-year-old will wear shirt number 18 at Stuttgart.
