Ghana’s forward Joseph Paintsil is in seventh heaven after signing a new long-term contract with Belgium Jupiler Pro League KRC Genk.

The Ghanaian forward Joseph Paintsil has signed a new three-year deal with Belgium Jupiler Pro League side KRC Genk, the club has announced on Wednesday.

The Ghanaian forward has been in a fine form for the Blue and Whites outfit this season which has prompted the technical handlers and club officials to hand him a new deal.

He has scored four goals in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League this season in seven games and has one assist to his name.

Read Full Statement Below:

Joseph Paintsil has extended his contract with our club until the summer of 2026 . The current deal of the Ghanaian winger ran until the summer of 2023.

Joske came over from the Ghanaian Tema Youth in July 2018 and quickly became part of our team during the championship year in 2019. In the summer of 2019, Paintsil moved to Ankaragücü in Turkey with a lease for a season, without a purchase option. Last season Paintsil rejoined our squad, scoring twice in 22 games and providing two assists. Joseph could also count on a place in the selection with the Ghanaian national team. His country could still qualify for the upcoming World Cup in Qatar in March.

We recently celebrated its 100th game for KRC Genk, which was honored during the derby.

In the first eight games of this season, Paintsil has already scored four goals and two assists! We are already looking forward to what else Joske can conjure up from his right foot.

We are therefore proud to associate Joseph with our club for a longer period of time and wish him every success.
