Ghanaian-born Italian forward Kelvin Yeboah scored for Standard Liege in their 4-1 defeat to Gent in the Belgian First Division on Saturday evening.

Yeboah, a key player for Standard Liege this season, started the game at the Stade Maurice Dufrasne and played for 81 minutes. Despite his team being outpossessed and outshot by Gent, Yeboah made a significant impact in the 17th minute. Receiving a pass from Matthieu Epolo, he delivered a left-footed shot from the center of the box, leveling the score at 1-1.
However, Gent’s Matias Fernandez-Pardo dominated the game, scoring twice in the 10th and 66th minutes. Laurent Depoitre added to Gent’s tally with goals in the 80th and 97th minutes, securing a decisive win for his team.
