Ghanaian forward Kwabena Opoku was on target for Azerbaijan Premier League side Qarabag FK in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday evening.
The Ghanaian international lasted 88 minutes on the field as he helped the White and Mauves side annihilate the French Ligue 1 side FC Nantes.
After a goalless first 45 minutes of the match, Owusu scored the opening goal of the match to put the hosts 1-0 up 15 minutes into the second 45 minutes of the match.
His right-footed strike from the center of the box found the bottom right corner following a nice lay-off by Filip Ozobic on the 60th minute mark.
The hosts scored twice after Owusu’s goal to beat the French side 3-0 to record their first win of the campaign in the Europa League.
