Ghanaian forward Patrick Agyemang was the hero for Charlotte FC in their thrilling match against Toronto FC in Major League Soccer on Saturday night at the Bank of America Stadium.
Charlotte FC secured their third win of the season with a 3-2 victory. Kerwin Vargas opened the scoring for Charlotte FC in the 39th minute with a brilliant goal.
However, Prince Osei Owusu from Toronto FC equalized just four minutes into the second half. Charlotte FC refused to give up and regained the lead through Liel Abada’s goal.
But Toronto FC’s Osei Owusu scored again, leveling the score at 2-2 with an assist from Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty. Just when it seemed like the game was heading for a draw, Patrick Agyemang entered the field and scored the winning goal for Charlotte FC in the 85th minute.
This was Agyemang’s second goal of the season, coming in his seventh game for Charlotte FC in Major League Soccer. His late-game heroics sealed the win for his team and left the crowd cheering.
