Ghanaian forward Patrick Twumasi netted brace as Maccabi Netanya beat Hapoel Be’er Sheva in a vital win in the Israeli Liga Ha’Al.

 

The Ghanaian international  grabbed hjs brace in the second half as his side Netanya secured an emphatic and convincing 3-0 win at the Netanya Stadium against the former UEFA Europa League side.

The first 45 minutes of the match ended goalless despite the good chances that came to both teams way.

 

The former Black Stars striker broke the game’s deadlock seven minutes after the break after connecting to a pass from Shay Konstantini to give his team a deserving lead.

He scored again to double the advantage for for the hosts with a nice finish in the 83rd minute after he was set up by substitute Aviv Avraham.

Ivorian midfielder Parfait Guiagon added thé icing on the cake goal in stoppage time to ensure they beat the second placed team in the Championship group play-off by a convincing 3-0 scoreline.

The 27-year-old has scored 6 goals and provided one assist in 11 appearances for Netanya in the Israeli top-flight since he joined.
