Ghanaian forward Prince Ampem scores late to rescue Rijeka from defeat

Ghanaian forward Prince Ampem was on target for HNK Rijeka in the Croatia NHL League over the weekend at home to NK Instra 1961.

The former West African Football Academy (WAFA) SC graduate played full throttle for his team as they drew 2-2 in the Croatia top-flight to move to the Europa Conference League spot.

Advan Kadusic opened the scoring in the first half after 31 minutes of the match to put the visitors 1-0 up heading to the last 10 minutes of the first 45 minutes of the match.

Five minutes into the second half of the match, Monsef Bakrar scored the second goal for the away team to put them in a comfortable lead.

Matija Frigan scored a consolation goal for the home team on the 71st minute with a calm finish to make it 2-1.

The 25-year-old Ghana attacker has five goals and six assists in 32 games this season in the Croatia NHL League.
