Ghanaian forward Prince Kwabena Adu made a strong comeback from injury last Saturday, playing a key role in Viktoria Plzen’s 4-2 win over Dukla Praha in the Czech First League.
The 21-year-old had been out of action for several weeks after picking up an injury during training. He returned to the pitch in the 68th minute, replacing Nigerian striker Rafiu Durosinmi, with Plzen already leading 3-1.
Adu made an immediate impact. In the 84th minute, he sprinted down the left wing and sent a smart pass into the box, which Matej Vydra finished off to score Plzen’s fourth goal of the game.
Although injuries have affected his season, Adu has still managed to score five goals and provide two assists in 16 matches, showing his importance to the team.
