The Ghanaian forward Ransford Yeboah opened his goal account for Hamburger SV in the German Bundesliga 2 on Saturday afternoon.
“I thought that Sonny (Kittel, ed.) would shoot. But he dropped it on me. This was frankly a little surprising to me. But as a striker you have to do it” he said after the game.
The Ghanaian forward broke the deadlock of the match to put the away team in the lead in the 28th of the match with a sweet finish.
His goal handed the former Bundesliga giant in a deserving lead heading to the interval after some great performance from the promotion chasers.
Laszlo Benes got the second goal for the visitors in the second half with 16 minutes to go to make it 2-0 to the Blue and Whites outfit as they won 2-0 on the road.
The 20-year-old Ghanaian prodigy was substituted on the 89th minute mark as his goal set his team up for victory with his first of the season.
