Ghanaian international winger Tariqe Fosu delivered an impressive performance for Northampton Town in their English League One match against Huddersfield Town on Sunday.
The ex-Brentford and Reading forward started the game and played 70 minutes, helping his team secure a 3-1 victory away from home.
Fosu, who is aiming to reignite his career in the lower divisions, stood out as one of the best performers in the match, contributing to his team’s crucial win at John Smith’s Stadium.
Huddersfield faced an early setback after Michal Helik scored an own goal just 18 minutes into the game. Northampton Town then extended their lead to 2-0 in the 25th minute, with Cameron McGeehan finding the net thanks to an assist from the Ghanaian international. This dominant first-half display left Northampton firmly in control at the break.
Fosu added to the scoreline in the 58th minute, effectively sealing the win for Northampton. Huddersfield managed a late consolation goal through Josh Koroma in the 80th minute, but it wasn’t enough to change the outcome.
The 28-year-old winger has now contributed to two goals for Northampton this season, with one goal and one assist. He’ll be looking to build on this form as the campaign progresses.
