Ghanaian attacker and former King Faisal forward Zubairu Ibrahim has completed a move to Turkish side Çorum FK, joining the club on a five-month loan from Serbian giants Partizan Belgrade.
The deal includes an option for Çorum FK to make the transfer permanent at the end of the loan spell for a reported fee of €2.3 million, underlining the Turkish club’s long-term interest in the forward.
Zubairu, who rose to prominence during his time at King Faisal in Ghana, will be looking to revive his momentum and gain regular playing time in Turkey as he adapts to a new league and environment.
The loan move offers the 21-year-old an opportunity to showcase his abilities and make a strong case for a permanent switch.
Partizan Belgrade are hopeful the temporary move will aid the player’s development, while Çorum FK see Zubairu as a valuable addition as they push to strengthen their attacking options for the remainder of the season.
