Ghanaian midfield sensation, Samuel Gidi Mawuena, played a pivotal role in MSK Zilina’s triumph over FC Vion Zalete in the Slovakian Nike Liga.
In an exhilarating match against FC Vion Zalete, Gidi demonstrated his exceptional skills, providing a key assist that contributed significantly to his team’s impressive 2-1 victory.
The scoring opened with a goal from Cameroonian international Loic Essomba in the 20th minute. Gidi then showcased his playmaking abilities, setting up David Duris for the second goal just 11 minutes later, securing a lead for Zilina as the first half concluded.
Although FC Vion Zalete managed to halve the lead with Jakub Svec converting from the penalty spot in the 65th minute, Zilina held on determinedly to clinch the crucial victory.
Gidi’s performance not only secured a win for MSK Zilina but also underscored his growing impact and potential in the football realm.
The 19-year-old defensive midfielder, who joined the Green and Yellow team from Zilina Africa last summer, has made a significant impact in the Slovakian league, making 15 appearances and registering one assist in the current season.
