Former Black Stars midfielder Joseph Alfred Duncan showcased his excellent form during Fiorentina’s match against Lecce in the Italian Serie A on Sunday.
Duncan commenced the game and remained on the field for an impressive 83 minutes in his team’s 2-2 deadlock at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
The 30-year-old played a pivotal role in both of his team’s goals, contributing a goal and an assist as Fiorentina relinquished their two-goal lead to end the match in a draw.
Fiorentina swiftly took the lead a mere three minutes into the match, with Nicolás González finding the net after being set up by the Ghanaian international.
Displaying his seasoned skills, the Ghanaian midfielder extended his team’s lead by scoring in the 25th minute, leading to a halftime score of 2-0 in their favor.
However, Lecce rallied in the second half, managing to secure two goals and salvage an important away draw on Sunday. Goals from Hamza Rafia and Nikola Krstovic in the 49th and 75th minutes respectively allowed Lecce to earn a point in this contest.
