Ghana midfielder Bismarck Nana Adjei-Boateng netted the winning goal for Romanian giant CFR Cluj as they booked a place in the knockout round of the UEFA Europa Conference League.
The Ghana midfielder’s goal in the first half was all his team, Cluj needed to progress in the UEFA third tier club competition.
His goal was crucial as it gave the hosts a vital 1-0 victory over Kosovan side FC Ballkani on Thursday night.
Boateng scored from a rebound very early in the game to secure all three points for his team.
His team finished the group stages in second place with 10 points and trailed only a point behind leaders Sivasspor, dumping Slavia Prague and Ballkani out of the competition.
The 28-year-old Ghanaian midfielder has two goals in 12 appearances in the Conference League and the UEFA Champions League qualifications this campaign.
