Serbia Super Liga giant Red Star Belgrade has completed the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Edmund Addo after a successful medicals, Sportsworldghana.com understands.
According to our sources, the defensive midfielder has inked a four-year deal with the Red and Whites outfit ahead of the 2023-24 season.
He played in the UEFA Champions League with Sheriff Tiraspol but left in January 2023 to another serbia club Spartak Subotica for the 2022-23 campaign.
Addo played just 11 matches in the just concluded season for Subotica but has impressed the technical team of the club leading to signing of the player.
The midfielder has completed his medical and is set to join Black Stars teammate Osman Bukari at the club.
Despite signing a contract until 2025 with Subotica but after just a season he has left the club to join Serbian champions where he’d have opportunity to compete in the Champions League next season.
The midfielder made his name in competition when former club FC Sheriff went on a decent run two seasons ago, including beating Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu.
He will play alongside Ghanaian campatariot Osman Bukari at the club in the UEFA Elite competition.
