French-born Ghanaian midfielder Edwin Quarshie proved instrumental in Le Mans’ comeback victory over Chateauroux in the French National on Friday afternoon.
Chateauroux took an early lead with Geoffray Durbant scoring in the third minute after a defensive mistake. But just before halftime, Quarshie, assisted by Anthony Ribelin, scored a goal, equalizing the score at 1-1.
In the second half, Le Mans improved their game and started dominating. Mehdi Boussaïd scored a brilliant goal in the 70th minute, giving Le Mans a 2-1 lead.

This victory was crucial for Le Mans, and Quarshie’s goal, his first of the season, played a significant part in it.
