hana international Elisha Owusu is on the verge of completing a permanent transfer to newly-promoted Turkish Super Lig side Erzurumspor, according to French outlet L’Équipe.
The 27-year-old defensive midfielder is expected to travel to Turkey to finalize the move, bringing an end to his three-year spell with French Ligue 1 club AJ Auxerre.
The deal is reported to be worth €1 million, excluding performance-related bonuses, with Auxerre set to receive the transfer fee once the move is officially completed.
Owusu joined Auxerre in 2023 and has since become an experienced figure in the squad, making important contributions in midfield with his composure, ball-winning ability and tactical discipline.
A product of the Olympique Lyonnais academy, Owusu has also represented clubs including Sochaux and KAA Gent, establishing himself as one of Ghana’s experienced midfielders in European football.
The transfer will offer the Black Stars midfielder a fresh challenge in the Turkish top flight as Erzurumspor strengthen their squad following promotion ahead of the 2026/27 season.
An official announcement is expected once the remaining formalities are completed.
