Ghanaian midfielder, Emmanuel Lomotey showcased his scoring prowess by netting his maiden league goal for Ethnikos Achnas in a hard-fought clash against AEK Larnaca during the second week of fixtures in Cyprus.
Having recently joined Achnas from Malmo FF in Sweden, Lomotey, a former Black Stars midfielder, exhibited a commendable performance that played a pivotal role in securing a significant draw for his team in the Cypriot Cyta Championship.
In a high-scoring spectacle, Lomotey’s side managed to come from behind to share a thrilling 5-5 draw with AEK Larnaca. Spanish striker Fran Sol contributed four goals to Larnaca’s tally, while North Macedonian forward Trichovski Ivan added the fifth.
Ethnikos’ response was equally impressive, with former Cyprus international Marios Ilia netting a hat-trick and Patryk Lipski contributing another goal.
With just four minutes left of regular time, Emmanuel Lomotey, the Ghanaian international, showcased his worth by finding the back of the net and leveling the scoreline for his team. This pivotal goal secured a valuable point for Ethnikos Achnas at the AEK Arena.
This marked Lomotey’s second competitive start for Ethnikos since joining on a season-long loan from Malmo FF. His loan tenure is set to last until the conclusion of the 2023-24 season.
