Norwich City midfielder Forson Amankwah is set to join Israeli Premier League club Hapoel Be’er Sheva on a season-long loan deal, with an option to make the move permanent.
The 23-year-old Ghanaian midfielder is expected to arrive in Israel to complete the final stages of the transfer after Hapoel Be’er Sheva won the race for his signature.
According to reports, Amankwah attracted interest from Blackburn Rovers, Derby County and several clubs in Germany, but the Israeli side moved quickly to secure his services.
The former Red Bull Salzburg midfielder is reportedly set to earn around £45,000 per month, with the deal valued at approximately £450,000 annually.
Amankwah will now look to gain regular first-team football and continue his development after a challenging spell at Norwich City.
The loan agreement includes an option for Hapoel Be’er Sheva to sign the Ghanaian permanently at the end of the season if he impresses during his time in Israel.
