Ghanaian midfielder Gershon Koffie has signed a short-term contract with Polish second-tier side Sandecja Nowy Sacz.
The midfielder’s deal runs until 30 June 2022 with an option to extend it for another 12 months.
”Gershon is a player with a very good CV, who will certainly bring a lot of quality to our team. His great football skills will increase the competition in the team and help in achieving the goals,” club president Miłosz Jańczyk said.
”The contract with Gershon was signed until the end of the season, but it does include an option to extend it for another year.”
Koffie was available on a free-transfer after playing the 2021 season with USL Championship side Indy Eleven.
He has also previously had stints with MLS sides Vancouver Whitecaps and New England Revolution.
Koffie has also featured for Swedish side Hammarby IF, Al-Fahaheel of Kuwait and the Israeli top-flight Hapoel Kfar Saba.
Sandecja Nowy Sacz are currently fifth on the table with 31 points after 20 matches.
