Ghanaian enforcer Godfrey Poku has been appointed as captain of English national league south side Hemel Hempstead Town FC.
Poku, 31 joined Hemel from Havant a week ago and he has now been made skipper of the side for the coming season.
The experienced defensive midfielder was pleased to be given the armband and he hopes to lead his new team to glory.
“After 16 months out I got through thirty minutes and even though there was a little set back, we keep moving forward. Let’s go!! Grateful to be named captain of the team.” Poku tweeted.
He previously represented teams including Woking and Telford United.
