Ghanaian midfielder Joseph Sackey made his debut for Muhazi United in their goalless draw league game away against Kiyovu in the Rwanda Premier League over the weekend.
Muhazi FC put up a spirited performance to earn a point at Kigali Pele Stadium on Sunday, August 20, as they held Kiyovu Sports to a goalless draw.
Muhazi had a good game from the beginning and they could have even won the game but lacked the needed fire power upfront.
Kiyovu Sports were not allowed any space in the middle as Muhazi new signing Joseph Louis Sackey gave Olivier Niyonzima no room to operate.
The second half saw Kiyovu improving upon their game but the likes of Fred Muhozi could not penetrate through Muhazi defense. Both teams had a fair share of chances in the second half but could not convert them.
The last ten minutes of the game saw Muhazi coach Emmanuel Ruremesha moving more men at the back as they held on to a convincing 0-0 draw.
Joseph Louis Sackey who won the Player of the season for 2022/23 with Ghanaian first division side Wa Suntaa FC starred in midfield for Muhazi United as they picked a point in the game.
The central midfielder played 20 games for Wa Suntaa FC, scored four goals, provided six assists and won eight man of the match awards.
He was on the radar of Bechem United, Berekum Chelsea, Real Tamale United and others before deciding to sign for Muhazi FC.
