In a resounding testament to his exceptional contributions to Odds BK in the Norwegian top-flight, Ghanaian midfielder Leonard Owusu has secured the coveted title of Odds BK Player of the Season. The former Dreams FC star garnered the highest number of votes from the club’s fans, a fitting recognition for his standout performances throughout the campaign.

Owusu’s influential role played a crucial part in propelling Odds BK to a commendable 10th position on the Norwegian Eliteserien table by the season’s conclusion. His prowess was notably showcased in the final game of the campaign, where Odds BK triumphed over Aalesund with a commanding 4-1 victory.

Expressing gratitude and humility upon receiving the Player of the Season award, Owusu dedicated the honor to his support system, saying, “Hjalmarlosjen Supporters Player Of The Season, For My Family, Coaches, Teammates and EveryoneJINGLE,” as revealed in his post on X.

The 26-year-old midfielder’s journey with Odds BK has been marked by consistency and excellence since his arrival in March 2023. Over the course of the season, Owusu made 25 appearances, contributing with a crucial assist in 30 games, showcasing his all-around midfield capabilities.

As the curtains draw close on his current contract, set to expire by the end of this month, Owusu’s Player of the Season accolade stands as a testament to not only his individual brilliance but also the integral role he played in elevating the team’s performance. The recognition further solidifies Owusu’s status as a standout Ghanaian midfielder making waves on the international football stage.

Odds BK and its fans celebrate Leonard Owusu’s achievements, and as the midfielder looks towards the future, the award serves as a milestone in his professional journey, leaving an indelible mark on the club and the Norwegian Eliteserien.
