Ghanaian midfielder Michael Baidoo is a strong contender for the Swedish Allsvenskan Player of the Month award for October.
Baidoo, who has been in impressive form for IF Elfsborg throughout the ongoing season, has received recognition for his outstanding performances in the month of October.
The 24-year-old made significant contributions last month, scoring two goals and providing two assists while his team maintained an unbeaten record. He faces competition for the top award from Varnamo duo Adjin Zeljkovic and Gustav Engvall, as well as Elfsborg teammate Hakon Rafn. Sebastien Nanasi of Malmo is also in the running.
The winner of the award is set to be announced in the coming days. IF Elfsborg has the opportunity to secure the championship title if they can defeat the formidable Malmo IF in their remaining game of the season.
Michael Baidoo has recorded five goals and seven assists in 27 appearances for IF Elfsborg during this season.
