Ghanaian teenage sensation Prince Afriyie has sealed a move to Greek Super League side PAOK Saloniki in the ongoing summer transfer window, joining on a one-year loan from Maltese club Mosta FC, with an option for a further 12 months and a permanent purchase clause.

The 19-year-old midfielder, formerly of PAC Academy, will link up with PAOK Saloniki’s reserve side, PAOK B, as part of his ongoing development. The team is currently in Volakas for its main pre-season preparations ahead of the new campaign.

PAOK confirmed the signing in an official statement:
“PAOK announces the loan of Ghanaian Prince Afriyie from Mosta FC in Malta. The midfielder, born in 2006, will immediately join the PAOK B squad for pre-season. Afriyie signed for one year, with an option to buy. Last season, he recorded 28 appearances, three goals, and four assists with Mosta FC.”

Afriyie expressed his delight at the move, describing it as a dream come true.
“I’m absolutely thrilled and deeply grateful to be joining PAOK! This is a dream come true, and I want to thank everyone who played a part in making this happen,” he wrote on Instagram.
“From the coaches and management who showed faith in me, to my family, friends, and mentors who supported me every step of the way – I owe you all so much. I’m incredibly excited about this new chapter and can’t wait to give my absolute best on the field, contribute to the team’s success, and make the fans proud. Let’s go!”

Afriyie’s move to Greece marks another step in his rising career after an impressive debut season in Malta, where his performances caught the eye of PAOK’s scouts.
