Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC captain Richard Boadu has started training with his new club Al Ahly Benghazi after joining the Libya powerhouse.
Boadu has joined his teammates in training as they prepare for their sixth game this season in the Libya top-flight league.
His team, on the 18th of this month will host Nigerian champions Enyimba FC in the first leg of the 2023-24 CAF Champions League prelims at home.
Boadu and his teammates will be in Nigeria for the second leg scheduled for 25th August, 2023 as they hope to progress to the next stage of the competition.
The hardworking midfielder joined the Ghanaian giants, Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC in September 2021 from Medeama SC for an undisclosed amount.
Boadu was made captain at the start of the 2022-23 campaign, replacing defender Abdul Ganiu Ismail, who left the club and played a key role as the Porcupine Warriors won the 2021-22 Ghana Premier League title.
