Ghanaian international, Thomas Teye Partey, has made a return to Arsenal training ahead of their upcoming Champions League clash against Lens.
Partey had been sidelined from Arsenal’s lineup since before the previous international break due to a groin injury he sustained just before the Manchester United match. Consequently, he missed several subsequent fixtures against Everton, PSV, Tottenham, Brentford, and Bournemouth.
Now, Partey is back in full training with his teammates as they prepare for their second Champions League group stage match of the campaign. However, it is more likely that Partey will make his return in Sunday’s crucial match against title rivals Manchester City.
Last week, Partey was making good progress in his recovery from the groin injury and had set his sights on being fit for the upcoming clash with City at the Emirates Stadium on October 8.
While it’s not confirmed whether Partey will be part of the Arsenal squad traveling to France, his impending return to full fitness is a significant boost for manager Mikel Arteta.
