English League One side Bristol Rovers FC, have announced the loan signing of English-born Ghanaian defender Jarell Quansah from Liverpool.
The Warrington-born centre-half, who turns 20 at the end of this month, becomes the second signing of the January transfer window and joins until the end of the season.
After captaining the U18s team to the FA Youth Cup final in 2021, Quansah featured regularly for Liverpool’s U21s and was twice an unused substitute for the first team.
Jarell, who has been at Liverpool’s Academy since the age of five, ended last season by playing a starring role as England won the UEFA U19 European Championship, playing in every game and scoring in the semi-finals.
Quansah, who will wear the number 5 shirt, said: “I can’t wait to get started at Rovers. I’d known of the club’s interest in me for a little while and I’m looking forward to meeting all the lads and showing everyone what I can do.”
