In a commanding performance at the Boraas Arena, IF Elfsborg dominated AIK in a thrilling Swedish Allsvenskan clash, sealing a resounding 6-1 victory.
Ghanaian sensation Jalal Abdulai stole the spotlight, netting twice for the home side. His first goal came in the 6th minute, a testament to his striking prowess. Just 12 minutes later, he found the net again, showcasing his skill and determination.
The first half closed with a flurry of goals as hat-trick hero Ahmed Qasem added another to the tally just before halftime, putting IF Elfsborg comfortably ahead at 3-0.
The onslaught continued in the second half, with Micheal Baidoo extending the lead in the 51st minute. Qasem wasn’t finished yet, notching his second goal of the day in the 60th minute.
Though Bersant Celina managed to pull one back for AIK in the 73rd minute, it was too little, too late. Qasem capped off his stellar performance with a final goal in the 89th minute, securing the 6-1 triumph for IF Elfsborg.
Abdulai, having showcased his talent for 79 minutes, was substituted late in the game by Simon Hedlund. His contribution adds to his impressive season record, boasting four goals in 11 appearances across all competitions.
